The Ozz Monster

Added: 2-29-2004Location: United States

Check out this Monster Truck created for Ozzy Osbourne and his Ozzfest concert tours! One of Paul Shafer's newest creations - The Ozz Monster - debuted for the first time in Grayslake Illinois in 2002. The Ozzfest management contacted Shafer to design a Monster Truck that would add to the "Devilish" theme and image which can be seen throughout every Ozzfest tour.

Remember the Monster Truck called "Wild Thang" in which driver, Brian Harwood used to drive? He now drives the Ozz Monster for every Ozzfest concert. What a lucky guy! Right now, the truck has been shown at the concerts, and at Monster Truck Shows throught the USA. Paul did not intend at first to race the truck at any events, but ended up doing it, due to the huge amount of requests and interest.

The Ozz Monster (Shown here with "Mancow" - Q101 FM Chicago - home of the free speech radio network) sports the truck's original chassis which was given an entire ground-up restoration upon completion, along with a new custom fiberglass shell/body. The huge truck has horns and teeth resembling the "cranium" from a beast, a mural of the Ozzfest devil on each door & flames all around. At night, it can bee seen from afar with the blue neon lights illuminating the undercarriage, wheels and wrap-around sunglasses. All the components which make up the perfomance aspects of the truck are top of the line, with tons of chrome!

Be sure to catch a glimpse of the Ozz Monster on tour with Ozzy Osbourne and crew at selected OZZFEST shows, and watch for special appearances on the video screens. Move over Grave Digger!
