1949 Ford F-1 Pickup Truck
Added: 11-01-2005 Location: Indiana, United States
1st Addition to CCSAM.com!
Found in a farm field in Arkansas. The flathead 8 cylinder still ran. So now less a few parts, here is a partial list of a beautiful custom truck that makes for a real head turning ride and multiple show winner!
- Engine: The engine is a 1964 Corvette 327 fuel injected block with double bump heads, Jardeen rods and bearings, 40 over with a forged steel crank from Chevy Performance, along with a specialty crank and Edelbrock top end. This pumps out a little over 400 hp! The engine is dressed up with chrome everything and braided lines.
- Transmission: Chevy 350 HD with Hurst shift kit and cheese plates, 3500 lb torque converter which gives for that added ~ jolt ~ off the line and between gears.
- Undercarriage: Complete frame-off restoration of all body parts. 100% Ford steel! Original front straight axle and steering box, vintage power steering. The axle has Bell hubs and dual caliper brakes. Undercarriage painted in Double Diamond Black gloss. Besides the straight axle, it also sports a 1970 SS Chevy 3.55 12-bolt posi rear-end. Plus the chrome one inch solid ladder bars and flex joints with Monroe shocks - all for that comfortable ride.
- Exterior: Custom painted with Black Cherry Saffire clearcoat, all perfect original chrome.
- Interior: Silver and Bergundy short cloth with Bergundy piping trim, original seat and door handles, Silver cloth dash cover, VDO Electric Vintage gauges, custom Pioneer sound system.
- Cargo Bed: 1-inch thick Cherrywood with chrome hold downs and accents.
