Stats: 410 ci. Donovan, BDS 6-71 Blower, four Webber side draft deuces, M22-4 speed trans., nine inch Ford true track rear end w/ 4.11 gear, Dyno tested at 1004 hp!
In September of 1967 (19 years old) I bought this 1940 Pontiac Deluxe 8 Sports coupe. Not knowing at the time that it was the rarest of all Pontiac's, one of four left. Over the thirty some years, I have did a little something to it every year.
The car is painted Vanilla Shake (cream) with peach leather interior. The body was molded together in two peices. The hood, hood sides, fenders and the grill were welded together to make a tilt front end. The rear section has the same treatment. The body, running boards and the rear fenders were also welded together. The top was chopped four inches in the back and four and a half in the front.

The frame is a mix of a '69 Camaro front clip and a pro street rear, boxed and painted black. The front suspension is all chrome plated. The radiator is polished Aluminum, bell housing is chrome, the M22-4 speed transmission, drive shaft and the rear shocks are all polished aluminum. The rear is a chrome plated nine inch Ford true track with 4.11 gears and gold anodized wheelie bars out back. The engine is an aluminum 410 C.I. Donovan with Air Flow Research aluminum heads, dyno-ed at 1004 H.P. The block and the heads are polished. It has a polished BDS 671 blower and four Webber side draft deuces painted black. It also has a three inch polished stainless steel Borla exhaust system and four wheel disc brakes.

The interior is peach leather and tweed. It has a wrap around dash and roll cage painted peach. The two bucket seats and console are in leather. The sound system is all Alpine, 200watt AM-FM cassette in the dash and a seven CD changer in the trunk. Let's not forget the four 4x9" speakers in the cab and one 10 inch bass speaker in the trunk. I like trick stuff so I put in a remote hood, trunk, both doors and both windows. The car starts with a credit card ignition that activates the flip down rear plate and tail lights.
