1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS

Added: 8-08-2004Location: Texas, United States

  • Engine: The motor started out a Chevy 400 ci. small block. We put an Eagle 4130 4" crank w/ 6" Eagle H-beam rods. To hold the crank in, we used splayed billet caps and ARP bolts on everything. Of course, that equals 434 ci w/ 4.155 bore. CPI forged aluminum - 10cc pistons which works out to 10:1 compression. This 400 block is internally balanced to the gram! The heads are Chevy Fast Burn (Vortec) with 2.08 in. & 1.60 exh. and they have 60cc chambers. The cam is a roller, Bullet with 244/252 duration, .576 in & .584 ehx. w/1.6 comp roller rockers. The intake is a Super Victor. MSD 6AL w/Pro billet distributor, Shoenfield 1-7/8" headers, Milodon stroker 7 qt. oil pan w/windage tray, Holley Blue fuel pump with 1/2" fuel line all the way back, set at 8 psi for now, blueprinted BIGS Holley 4150 HP carberator. Should dyno around 600 hp and close to same in torque, pump gas friendly!

  • Exhaust: Dual 3" Tork Tech exhaust.

  • Trans.: 700R4 w/ 3600 stall.

  • Rear: Aluminum drive shaft, Grand National 8.5 10 bolt w/ Eaton posi 4.11 gear, after market axles, c-clip eliminators.

  • Misc.: Newly added Competition Engineering 8 point roll cage. Hoping to run in the 10's!
