• Stats: Captain Blackbeard's Land Cruiser - Purchased 1996 in Arkansas by Captain Blackbeard. It was built by Kustom Cars of West Plains Missouri for a custom club there. It has all the chrome removed, side quarter windows and rear windows have been reworked to fit a convertible top that has been installed with ribs for the real look. Suspension is stock but smaller tires have been installed to give it the low rider look. Bumpers and door handles were painted when two gallons of acrillic enamel (Cad. Firefrost Green) was applied. Captain Blackbeard restored it in 1998 reworking all of the body metal. Interior is stock. The radiator was replaced along with everything else under the hood. The 455 ci. engine was rebuilt along with the transmission. All the shocks and the exhaust were next to be done. And last year, another set of new tires were added. This car was in Custom Rodder Magazine in 1996 before the rework and also in the Daytona Turkey Run show. The Captain has entered it in many car shows both in Arkansas and Florida - always a trophy winner! Often driven daily and presently in dry storage in Hudson Florida.
